R&R Ice Cream’s long-standing commitment to ensuring all employees can benefit from a wide range of training programmes has been recognised with an award at the first ever Hambleton Business Awards.  The Train to Gain scheme, the R&R VQs, bite-sized training courses and the individual mentoring programme were all amongst the initiatives recognised by the judges as industry leaders.

Julie Hutton, Business & Community Officer at Hambleton District Council who organised the awards, said: “Many congratulations to R&R Ice Cream who won the Learning and Development Award.  They have created a working and learning environment across the company which allows everyone to develop the skills and knowledge to progress in the business.”

Peter Pickthall, Group HR Director at R&R, said: “This is further recognition for our training and career development programmes and it is great to have our commitment acknowledged.  I was delighted to be able to collect the prize which adds to our ever-growing collection of awards and certificates.”
